BARBARA O’STEEN, B.B.A.
PRACTICE ADMINISTRATOR 

Chief of Staff

 

Barbara O’Steen joined the doctors and staff at Clay-Rhynes Eye Clinic in 2006 as the clinic’s first administrator. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. She has received credentialing as a Vision Source Business Associate and serves as the Vision Source Representative for Southeastern Oklahoma. She has taken several medical mission trips, providing eyecare both locally and abroad.

Barbara wrote the original grant for the Child Care Resource and Referral Program and Smart Start Durant for Southeastern Oklahoma State University, Continuing Education and served as its Director for nine years.  She’s a member of the Kiwanis Club of Durant where she was named the 2022 Kiwanian of the Year, 2013-2014 Layperson of the Year  and served as President from 2011-2012.

Barbara’s husband Steve is a teacher at Denison High School and they are the parents of daughters Tina Thorne & Katy Spillman, son Casey, son-in-law Jared Thorne and granddaughter’s Kenidee, Kambree and Keedan and Son-in-Law Todd Spillman and a grand dog, Bones. They are members of the Durant Church of Christ and enjoy riding motorcycles, concerts, camping and spending time with their family.

KARA PRENTICE, C.P.O.
Patient Care Coordinator

Kara has served the clinic as one of our Patient Care Coordinators since 2008. Most patients encounter Kara as they leave the clinic where she assists with billing questions and making follow-up appointments for our doctors. She works hard to make sure that each patient’s needs are met or exceeded prior to their departure. Kara received her credentials as a Certified Paraoptometric in June 2010.

Kara’s husband, Corey is retired from the United States Air Force where he served as SMSGT. They are parents of Roy and Brittiney and have 3 step-granddaughters and 1 step-grandson and 1 grandson. They enjoy traveling, being outside, and being with their family.

LINDY GREEN
Patient Care Coordinator

Lindy joined the doctors and staff at Clay-Rhynes Eye Clinic in May of 2019, and and serves as a Patient Care Coordinator. She checks in patients, and answers any questions they may have.
Lindy and Mason have three children named, Ben, Makenzee, and Logan. They enjoy going to the lake.

SHANDI TAYLOR-WILLIAMS
Patient Care Coordinator

Shandi joined the doctors and staff of Clay-Rhynes Eye Clinic in August 2019, and serves as a Patient Care Coordinator.

Shandi and her husband Josh have a daughter named Harper and son Hudson. They are members of the Durant Church of Christ.

MADISON KINSEY     
Patient Care Coordinator

Madison joined the doctors and staff at Clay-Rhynes Eye Clinic in 2022, and serves as a Patient Care Coordinator. Madison and her husband Jack have three children, Sierra, Kyler and Josie. They enjoy spending time as a family going to the lake, traveling and riding side by sides.

ROBBYN McKEEVER, C.P.O., C.P.O.C.
Insurance Coordinator

Robbyn has been a member of the Staff of Clay-Rhynes Eye Clinic since 2004. After serving with Medicare for fifteen years, Robbyn began overseeing the insurance billing for our clinic. In addition to being a Certified Paraoptometric, Robbyn achieved status as a Certified Paraoptometric Coder in 2011. She has over a quarter of a century of experience in coordinating insurance benefits and is exceptional at seeing that our patients receive the benefits that their insurance companies have provided for them.

Robbyn and her husband, Don, have a son, Colt, a daughter, Kelly, grandsons, Connor and Easton, and a granddaughter Korra Grace. They are avid animal lovers. They raise Black Angus cattle and Paint horses.  They especially enjoy spending time on their ranch, and antique shopping. They are members of Cowboy Church.

LINDSAY DANE, C.P.O.
Insurance Coordinator

Lindsay joined the doctors and staff of Clay-Rhynes Eye Clinic in December of 2013 as a Patient Care Coordinator. In 2017, she became an assistant in the insurance/billing department. Lindsay received her Certified Paraoptometric credentials in February 2019.

Lindsay enjoys spending time with her son Chet, and her family. She and Chet are members of the Durant Church of Christ.

HEATHER WOOD, C.P.O.
Optical Manager

Joining the doctors and staff of Clay-Rhynes Eye Clinic in 2011, Heather has already gained experience in multiple venues of the clinic. She is further pursuing her education in opticianry and furthering her knowledge base to better serve our patients. She brings a wealth of experience in serving and dealing with the public that will help us assists our patients in our Optical. Heather received her Certified Paraoptometric credentials in June 2013.

Heather and Brandon have three children Rylee, Lane and Alexis Grace. They enjoy spending family time together, softball and baseball games, antiquing and traveling.

OSBALDO MORENO, B.A.
Laboratory Assistant/Technician

Osbaldo joined the doctors and staff of Clay-Rhynes Eye Clinic in May 2017. He serves as a laboratory assistant where he edges lenses, and orders supplies.  He also serves as a Technician for the Doctors. Osbaldo received his Bachelor’s Degree at Southeastern Oklahoma State University in May 2022.

BRITTANY TUTOR
Laboratory Assistant

Brittany joined the doctors and staff of Clay-Rhynes Eye Clinic in September 2020. She serves as a laboratory assistant where she orders all our materials including glasses and contact lenses, edges lenses for glasses, and orders supplies. Brittany is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University.

TIFFANY BOSTON
Optician

Tiffany joined the doctors and staff of Clay-Rhynes Eye Clinic in March 2022. She serves as an Optician and Laboratory Assistant.

Tiffany and her Husband, Rob, have a son Logan and daughter Rayleigh,  4 Great Danes and an English Bulldog. They love to travel and spend time with family, being at carshows or walking car lots with their son, and going to dance competitions with their daughter. Tiffany’s hobbies are being active in Zumba and hanging out with friends shopping..

LAUREN BOYD
Optician

Lauren joined the doctors and staff of Clay-Rhynes Eye Clinic in August 2022. She serves as an Optician.

Lauren and her Husband, Zach, have a dog named Cooper. They enjoy travelling, camping and playing volleyball together.

DESIREE THOMPSON
Optician

Desiree joined the doctors and staff of Clay-Rhynes Eye Clinic in June 2023. She serves as an Optician.

Desiree has two children named Blakelynne and Jaxx. They enjoy being outside, spending time with family and friends, and they love to travel and be adventurous.

ANGELA WEGER, C.P.O.T., C.P.O.C.
Optometric Technician

Angela joined Clay-Rhynes Eye clinic in January 2016 and serves as a scribe/technician for Dr. Rhynes. She received her Certified Paraoptometric credentials in August 2016, Certified   Paraoptometric Assistant credentials in February 2018, Certified Paraoptometric Technician credentials in November 2018, & Certified Paraoptometric Coder credentials in May 2019. She also serves on the Paraoptometric Board for the State of Oklahoma, CPOC Item Review Committee, and the Job Task Analysis Steering Committee.

Angela and her husband Chance have three children, Tyler, Kyndra, and Emersyn. They are members of Fusion Bible in Durant.

Kalie joined the doctors and staff of Clay-Rhynes eye clinic in February 2017, and serves as a technician for the doctors. She earned her Certified Paraoptometric credentials in November 2017.

Kalie and her husband Ernesto have two dogs named Simon and Momo, and a cat named Zara. They enjoy spending time with friends/family, traveling, and going to the lake. Kalie collects snow globes, and they are avid Texas Roadhouse lovers.

KENDRA KETCHUM
Optometric Technician

Kendra joined the doctors and staff of Clay-Rhynes Eye Clinic in July 2018, and serves as a scribe/technician for Dr. Watkins.

Kendra and her husband Patrick have two daughters, Addyson and Hazleigh, and two dogs named Lily and Taffy. They enjoy spending time with their family and going to cheer competitions.

Katie joined the doctors and staff of Clay-Rhynes Eye Clinic in March 2019, and serves as a technician for the doctors. She received her Certified Paraoptometric Credentials in August of 2019.

Katie and her husband Dakoata have a daughter named Brittan; enjoy going to the lake, spending time with family/friends, and traveling. They attend church at Fusion Bible.

MAKENNA KUYKENDALL
Optometric Technician

MaKenna joined the doctors and staff of Clay-Rhynes Eye Clinic in August 2021, and serves as a technician for the doctors.

MaKenna and her husband Jade have two dogs named Cady and Zoey. She enjoys spending time with her friends/family, going to the lake, and when she is not at work you can find her at a sushi restaurant.

Katy joined the doctors and staff of Clay-Rhynes Eye Clinic in December 2021 and serves as a scribe for Dr. Trenton and Dr. Hannah. She received her Bachelors Degree from Oklahoma Christian University in 2013. She earned her Certified Paraoptometric Certification in November 2022, Certified  Paraoptometric Assistant credentials in June 2023. She has taken several medical mission trips, providing eyecare both locally and abroad. She recently returned from a medical mission trip in Togo, Africa.

Katy and her husband Todd have a Boston Terrier, Bones and they enjoy spending time with family and friends, travelling and being outdoors.

Rylan joined the doctors and staff of Clay-Rhynes Eye Clinic in March 2023. She serves as a Technician for the Doctors.

Rylan recently graduated from Durant High School and is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University.

Toni and her husband Zack have 3 children, Hayden, Addisen and Layla. They enjoy spending time with family and friends. They attend Utica Baptist Church.

Eliana and her husband Erick have 3 children, Jazlena, Marilu and and Erick Ray Jr. They enjoy spending time with family and learning new things. They are members of the Mead church of Christ.

Jillian joined the doctors and staff of Clay-Rhynes Eye Clinic in August 2023. She serves as a Technician for the Doctors.

Jillian is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University, where she is on the Rodeo Team as a Barrel Racer. She enjoys spending time with her horses, Superman, Leroy, and Duchess, and her weenie dog, Mr. Weenie.
